Soft Robotics Lab

At the Soft Robotics Laboratory, we tackle the core challenges of comprehending, designing, and operating soft robots. We employ biological tissue, hydrogels, silicones, and other soft materials to construct these soft robots, enabling us to better comprehend, design, and control them. To achieve this, we create simulations, build models, and leverage learning techniques for these soft robots. Soft systems necessitate the development of soft actuator morphologies, soft fabrication techniques, biologic, fluidic, and electric powering methods, model-free and model-based controllers, and machine learning techniques for acquiring novel robotic skills.
