Naveen Shamsudhin
Naveen Shamsudhin was born in Kerala, India in March, 1987. He studied Instrumentation and Control Engineering at the National Institute of Technology-Tiruchirappalli (NITT). He gained experience in electro-mechanical design and development of capacitive MEMS accelerometers through his internships at the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore). He was awarded the NITT-Alumni Award for his undergraduate studies in 2009.
He received the Swiss Government Scholarship (ESKAS) to pursue his studies at ETH Zurich and started his MSc in Micro and Nanosystems. During his masters studies, he interned at Robert Bosch (Automotive Electronics) in Reutlingen, Germany and was involved with development and quality control of MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes. He also spent 9 months at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory and worked on control-theoretic methods for quantitative multi-frequency atomic force microscopy. After completing his master`s thesis at the Automatic Control Laboratory (ETHZ-ITET), he joined the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems as a PhD student in March 2012.
