Jens Taprogge
Jens Taprogge was born in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1977. He received both his Mechanical Engineering (2003) and Business Administration (2005) Diploma degrees from RWTH Aachen University. In the course of his studies he has been a visiting student to ETH Zürich, California Institute of Technology, USA, the University of Liège, Belgium and the University of Maastricht, the Netherlands. Past research includes robot navigation, 3D visualization and the distribution of knowledge in networks. Since 2006 he is pursuing PhD studies at IRIS while working for CSEM SA. His current research interest focuses on high speed CAD model tracking for microassembly tasks. Mr. Taprogge enjoys off-shore sailing in his spare time.
