André Lindo

André Lindo

André Lindo was born in Tondela, Portugal in 1985. He received his bachelor and Master's degree in Physics Engineering from the University of Aveiro (UA), Portugal in 2010. His projects during undergraduate studies involved biological related subjects such as evolutionary algorithms and artificial immune systems. He worked mainly with a theoretical framework for self/non-self discrimination in the immune system called Cellular Frustration with Dr. Fernão Abreu (UA). In 2011, he entered the GABBA PhD Program in areas of basic and applied biology, from the University of Porto. In October the same year, he started his research project in IRIS at ETH. His research interests are biomolecular machines, artificial intelligence and nanorobotics.
